The Over/Under Hot-Swap for Gold Mount batteries is especially good for compact camera rigs and large monitors for clients, directors, DITs, video assists, etc.

The Over/Under Hot-Swap utilizes two battery plates that are wired to a hot-swap circuit that is capable of passing 10 A with no voltage drop. The mounting plate is extremely rigid and lightweight; printed in a carbon fiber-nylon composite reinforced with continuous-strand high-strength, high-temperature fiberglass. Our 3D printed products are guaranteed not to warp or crack.

Over/Under Hot-Swap great for monitors

I recently purchased Rencher Industries Over/Under Hot-Swap plate for use on my SmallHD 1303 13” focus monitor. I have been using the monitor with some rental house batteries that obviously need to be re-celled and they were not lasting very long. The standard Anton Bauer “shark fin” double battery mount from the rental house was not working to support hot-swap on the monitor, so I purchased this plate. I have been very happy with the Over/Under Hot-Swap plate. The change over from one battery to the next is seamless and the monitor plus Teradek remains powered without any issues. I can also run two batteries on the monitor and the side-by-side configuration keeps the batteries depth appropriate. The plates are spaced far enough apart that all four types of Anton Bauer batteries I have tried will fit. (Dionic HC, Dionic XT90,Titan G90, and Digital G90). My only complaint is the off-brand battery plates used are tight and getting batteries on and off requires more force than a traditional Anton Bauer plate, however, the extra stiffness does create a nice secure hold. A side benefit is that each plate has two P-tap ports - so this Hot-Swap plate gives four p-tap ports for accessory power.
